Sunday lunch is served all day with usually 3 / 4 roast meats available and an additional option of a fish or vegetarian dish. Our a la carte menu is available every evening offering a selection of dishes. We always try to use local produce and offer vegetarian options in addition to our standard menu and special board.
Our speciality is ‘Bottom of the Oven Lamb’, a quarter shoulder, glazed with redcurrant jelly and herbs, slowly roasted and served with a rich red wine sauce. This meal is so popular that customers book it weeks in advance.

Prior to 1906 The Stanley Arms was a working farm. The licence for the pub was transferred from the School Rooms in Macclesfield Forest in 1906, and for many years The Stanley Arms was both a working farm and public house. The bar has a selection of real ales from the Marstons Brewery, including Marstons best bitter and the renowned Pedigree. We also have Guinness on draught, Carlsberg lager, Strongbow cider and a selection of red and white wines. Marstons Pedigree is listed as a real ale by the Campaign for Real Ale, better known as CAMRA. The Marstons name goes back as far as 1834, but it was in 1905, following mergers and takeovers, that the brewery came to be known by its present day full name – Marston, Thompson and Evershed. Marstons beers are brewed at Burton-upon-Trent in Staffordshire, Burton often being referred to as the brewing capital of Britain.
